May 2007 – Present: Systems Engineer, iBasis Inc., Massachusetts.
Responsible for operations of large-scale, real-time calling card charging platform. Managed development of new calling card products, responsible for product specification, systems design, integration with third-party vendors, software testing and deployment.
Supervised changes in retail infrastructure to ensure business continuity. Coordinated problem resolution with Unix, DBA, IP network, signaling teams and third-party vendors. Eliminated platform instabilities and unplanned outages.
Supported business team with research and data analytics.
Jan 2003 – Apr 2007: System and Network Administrator, Callcentric, Inc., New York.
Responsible for maintaining VoIP network. Provisioned circuits, translations, dial-plan, routing tables on Nextone and Lucent soft-switches. Configured Cisco and Quintum SIP/H.323 gateways. Implemented optimal call routing. Managed Unix servers and services in a highly-available clustered environment.
Achieved significant reduction of operational costs by developing real-time quality and resource allocation controls and automating most provisioning tasks. Maintained a state-wide network of account information and payment collection terminals. Provided redundant and secure connectivity of terminals to the central database utilizing all available technologies, protocols, and industry standards. Maintained corporate IP backbone. Researched, evaluated and purchased telecom equipment. Developed fault-tolerant network access devices based on FreeBSD Unix.
